Parisi Bakery was perfect. The window display of fresh bread drew me in immediately. This cash-only deli stays true to its roots, offering generous sandwiches with great flavor, quality ingredients, and quick service. I ordered the chicken cutlet with mozzarella and balsamic on a seeded roll. The chicken was fresh, hot, crispy, and flavorful. The bread, made in-house, was incredibly fresh. The mozzarella was spectacular. Enough said.

Cash only! Love that they use their own bread for the sandwiches. We got the Dennis on a hero and it's pretty sizable to share between two people. Staff is swift. Clearly well loved for lunch - always a good amount of people in there around that time.

A pick up only, cash only kind of place with a line full of regulars chatting with the people behind the counter. Nomz: Tried the classics and landed on the chicken parm sandwich being my favorite. It's a messy deliciousness with the perfect amount of chicken, cheese and sauce. Amazing quality ingredients used and you can tell in every bite. Ambiance: Old school, mom and pop type of place, with a buzzing fast moving inside. Nope or Dope: Dope, hands down one of the best sandwiches in the city at an amazing price. On my regular list, always coming back for more.

Huge sandwich to satisfy huge cravings! The Dennis is the sandwich to get here! I had a specific craving for a chicken cutlet sandwich and was super happy to find one in the area! I got the Dennis, which is their signature sandwich that has huge cuts of chicken cutlets, mozzarella, tomato, balsamic vinegar, basil spread, and I added the roasted red peppers for $1.00 extra. The sandwich is huge and the combination of flavors was freakin' delicious! Both the basil spread and chicken cutlet and the basil spread were my favorite part. The chicken cutlet was so crispy on the outside and the basil spread was so aromatic!

Great local spot. Makes you truly feel like you're in New York! Came for lunch on a Tuesday. The small shop had a good amount of people waiting and you can feel the energy of New York. There was talks of the Mets, the go-to sandwich option (The Dennis) and I knew I was in the right place. I ordered the Dennis and it came on a long hero. You have the option between Hero or Roll. I'd suggest you do the hero the first time to ensure you do it right! Fairly quick service. No credit card so make sure you have cash.

I was looking for some good sandwich that wasn't $20+ lol. The store has all the fresh meat and cheese displayed on the front, and they cut it up fresh for you. This is the old school cash only place too. The Dennis was definitely worth it. Plenty of chicken cutlet and thick mozzarella. You do have to pay an extra $1 for the peppers. I got the roll, and I was genuinely surprised at the portion. It was 2 servings for me, so I can't imagine the hero. The roll is pretty hefty and already enough too so I don't think I can justify getting the hero for another extra $4.

This place is a total New York City experience. It's a quintessential cash only sub spot with killer cutlets, cheese, and roasted peppers. Get the Dennis on a roll with peppers. It's gigantic and will feed 3 people. Four stars because, while giant and full of quality ingredients, it's not very balanced and missing a few things that could make it even better. Now... Maybe balance isn't what you want when you go to a place like this... But I think even sub joints can use seasoning and ratios of ingredients to make the sub top-notch. Great guys and service too.

I am compelled to upgrade my rating for this venerable bread bakery and sandwich shop. The wonderful guys behind the counter gave me this humongous sandwich, the Dennis. Honestly, how do you fit this thing in, no matter how wide I opened my jaws! I had hastily paid for my sandwich. As I was leaving, the guy behind the counter called me back, as I had overpaid. I left him a tip for his good graces. On another occasion, I came in late on the day and he gave me a nice break on a yard long loaf of bread. I was so happy, as this was one of the best loaves of bread I ever had!
